Red flags at a repair shop

Be careful if you see any of these.

• The shop will not give a written estimate.
• They pressure you to decide immediately on non-safety repairs.
• They will not explain what a fee is for.
• They refuse to return old parts you asked for.
• The invoice lists work you did not approve.
• They say a recall or warranty repair must be paid for when it should be free.
• They ask for cash only with no receipt.
